SERVICES FOR SELLERS- BUYER TURN-OFFS

Avoid turning off potential sellers by being wary of the following:

 Overly Present Sellers

Although you might be enthusiastic about personally showing potential buyers all the great things about your property, most of the time, it is actually better to allow your home to be shown when no one is home.  If buyers have questions, their people will surely reach out to your agent.

 Impractical Improvements

New improvements that run counter to a potential buyer’s aesthetics are a big turn-off.  Check in with your agent before making a big investment in an improvement or a remodel.  They can give you a good idea about the likely return on your investment.

 Crazy Listing Photos (or none at all!)

Be aware of the surrounding area that may unintentionally be featured in your photos.  For example, move dumpsters out of the frame and make sure the laundry is tucked away.  Be accurate in your photographic representation but make sure the photos are inviting.
